Why you need to talk about Menopause (who ever you are).

Download poster

Did you know that menopause is a single day, 12 months after the end of your last period? Did you know that there are over 70 symptoms associated with peri-menopause and that many women never experience a hot flush? If you didn’t then you’ll like this event!

Menopause is a huge topic of conversation right now in the world of work, but do you know enough about it to be able to support your colleagues and team members who are experiencing peri-menopause?

Did you know?

  • One in ten women who worked during the menopause have left a job due to their symptoms.

  • Eight out of ten women say their employer hasn’t shared information, trained staff, or put in place a menopause absence policy.

  • 77% of women experience one or more symptoms they describe as ‘very difficult’.

  • 69% say they experience difficulties with anxiety or depression due to menopause, 84% experience trouble sleeping and 73% experience brain fog.

  • 26% of women who have been employed during the menopause had taken time off work due to their symptoms, but just 30% of them gave menopause as the main reason on their sick note.
