Raising Gen Alpha; Why it’s time for a new paradigm.

Join us for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week.

Did you know that there are over 2.2 billion children in the world?  And did you know that of that number, almost 20% have a diagnosed mental health issue?

That’s a lot of kids!  And that’s without us getting into the 85% of UK children who experience day-to-day worries and anxieties.  The kids are not alright, so what are we going to do about it?

Join Happy Marlo founder, Rebekah Clark, as she takes a closer look at why childhood is much more complicated and confusing than it used to be, how us grown-ups can support the children we care about, and why it’s time for a new paradigm when thinking about the emotional wellbeing and education of the next generation.  So many of us know we want better for children, but we’re not always sure how to do that.  Often not least, because we’re still figuring out how to deal with our own inner child, and unresolved unmet needs from our childhoods.

With a good dose of optimism and love, this session will help you find new ways to:

  • Listen – actively and empathetically.

  • Open your mind – with curiosity, compassion and understanding.

  • Value vulnerability – showing kids who we are and honouring our inner child.

  • Express emotions – creating safe spaces for feeling all the feels.

You’ll leave feeling empowered and hopeful for the future!
