Anti Bullying Week: Sticks and stones will break your bones but names can definitely hurt you

Download Poster

There is a British saying which goes: “Sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you.”

What utter rubbish!

Bullying of any type can dramatically affect an individual’s mental health and trauma from the experiences can stay with them for a lifetime.

During anti-bullying week 2024, join us in a workshop where we explore how to create a culture and atmosphere where every individual feels valued and respected and no-one feels victimised or bullied.

Throughout school and during his time working in education, Ian Timbrell experienced homophobic bullying and will use his personal experiences to help us all address and challenge LGBT+phobic bullying. Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, participants will gain insights into the nuances of the issue and acquire effective strategies to combat it, with an aim to create a space that promotes empathy, understanding, and acceptance for all.

As part of this session, you will delve into practical aspects such as the implementation of inclusive policies. Discover actionable ways to integrate these policies into your organisation, ensuring that your workplace becomes a beacon of inclusivity and acceptance.
